Chronelec marks points for the races of endurance

January 17, 2005, on the circuit of DIJON PRENOIS, a new system of identification of the pilots for the races of endurance was tested successfully with the participation of the MOTOR BIKE CLUB DIJONNAIS, the company RIS and the AFC.

For several months, Chronelec had worked in the secrecy on the development of this system whose originality is to change the number of the transponder according to the pilot and this in an automatic way as soon as the pilot is aboard vehicle.
Each vehicle is equipped with a transponder with numbered single number of 10 into 10 (N1010 N1020 N1030...............)

Each pilot (up to 10 per vehicle) is equipped with an electronic bracelet of the size of a watch and whose autonomy is two years. All the bracelets have a single number associated a number of transponder. For example, bracelets N 1010-1, 1010-2, 1010-3 are associated the number of transponder 1010, bracelets N 1020-1, 1020-2 are associated the number of transponder 1020.

When a bracelet is near a transponder during several seconds, a data exchange by radio frequency is carried out between the bracelet and the transponder. If the number of bracelet belongs to the number of transponder, it is able to change it the unit of the number of the transponder. For example, the N1010-1 bracelet will change the N1010 transponder into N1011, bracelet N 1030-4 will change the N1030 transponder into N1034 and so on.

The pilot will be thus identified at the time of the next passage towards the system of timing.
With this process, the pilot does not need more to be connected to the transponder as that still occurs to the 24 Hours of the MANS car.

This system will be set up at the time the 24 Hours of the MANS motor bike in April 2005 and will be official timing. In the very short term this system will quickly become essential for the races of endurance motor bikes or cars. (Bol d'Or, 24 Hours Cars.......)
Chronelec took care to lodge with the INPI the documents necessary in order to protect itself from possible copies.
