01.07.2008 - New product OLED Messenger
Chronelec has just developed a display system by radio network with color OLED screen in order to broadcast, to racing cars and teams, information from the race director, data timing.
The tests, carried out successfully, took place on the Circuit du Val de Vienne in series FFSA.
Principle of system :
- a program to exploit the data timing and send them to competitors and teams through radio beacons,
- one or more beacons for the radio network,
- boxes display with unique address for the competitors and teams
The system is based on a secure radio network to send messages to each reliable receiver. The radio network can be compared to an Ethernet network.
The boxes display, equipped with a color OLED screen (320x240) are powered by a lithium ion battery rechargeable in 3 hours.
The boxes, for Teams, are about them with a touchscreen and a cell input. During competitions, teams are able to send messages directly to drivers. During training sessions, the boxes are able to work in autonomous mode (send lap time).
When one passing is done on a loop (finish or intermediate), the drivers see in real time:
- the total laps,
- his position,
- Achieved intermediate time or lap time,
- difference with previous car ans next car,
- information from the race director or his team.
09.06.2008 - World Championship Jet Ski to Oléron
Used since the 2007 in European Offshore championship, the Protime RF system was chosen by the FFM (French Federation Motonautic) and the promoter (JET RISER TEAM headed by Jacques Ruggeri).
The World Offshore Championship 2008 has been timed with the system Protime RF at 4 different places around the island of Oleron. This system has helped set up a checkpoint on a boat at sea placed at Fort Boyard to ensure passing of all competitors in this strategic location.
The system Protime RF is more adapted to the aquatic environment because there are no more loop to install. Indeed, the loops are replaced by two antennas distant from 4 to 8 meters allowing detection of transponders up to 60 metres.
The top three drivers (including Mr Lemoine, world champion 2008) were followed in real-time by a module developed by Chronelec (GPS equipped with a radio modem interrogated by the race PC). This new process without satellite or GPRS will be available for sale for the season 2009.
08.04.2008 - ATRM Systems chooses Chronelec
ATRM Systems Specialist endurance horse racing uses a Chronelec system. This system consists of 2 Elite decoders and 5 distant decoders synchronized with GPS timing allows the timing of horseman for each course. Each decoder is connected by modem for results in real time.
The Protime RCS transponders are used suited to horse racing for the height detection. These transponders are activated by the loop, autonomy is 5 years and rechargeable at Chronelec by induction.

08.04.2008 - Elite M transponder for FFSA
Beginning the season at Nogaro 22 and March 23 for the FFSA Super Series with transponders Chronelec Protime Elite Wireline become mandatory.
For the season, 2 suitcases of intermediate time will be established on the circuit.
The GT3 cars are equipped with transponder Elite M (wireless identification of driver). The last digit transponder automatically change according to the driver in the car.
