On February 4th-5th, Chronelec and the FFM (French Federation of Motorcycling) will be dealing together with the live results on the internet, the TV display with a modem (distance = 6km) and the TV results for FRANCE 3 (French TV Channel) thanks to the Elite2005 Software.

26.12.2005 - Elite 2006 transponder
With its Lithium-Ion Battery, this transponder has a 10 days autonomy. The detection is done up to 360 km/h with a 0.001s accuracy. It only has a 3 hours charging time.
Like the previous models since 1998, its number can be changed, the charging state is shown by a LED and the information about its battery is sent to the decoder for each passing over the loop and then used by the Elite2005 software.
A tricolour LED indicates the state of the battery (autonomy, charge, power down).
The autonomy is shown by 1 to 4 flashes every 10 seconds :
- 4 green flashes for a 75 to 100% autonomy (>= 7,5 days)
- 3 green flashes for a 50 to 75% autonomy (>= 5 days)
- 2 green flashes for a 25 to 50% autonomy (>= 2,5 days)
- 1 green flash for a 10 to 25% autonomy (>= 1 day)
- 1 red flash for a 0 to 10% autonomy (< 24 hours)
The LED turns red when the transponder is in charge and turns green when the charge is complete.
The transponder is powered down in its charger (out of charge). The power down state is indicated by an orange flash every 20 seconds.
The size of the transponder (with holder) has been reduced from 42 mm to 37 mm.
28.10.2005 - Distant decoder
In order to harmonize the design of its products, Chronelec changes the case of the distant decoder. T
his type of decoder is used since 2000 on the circuit of Valencia (2 decoders for speed and 3 decoders for the intermediaries) and on the BMW F1 circuit of Miramas (6 decoders for instantaneous speeds and intermediate times). Connection RS232 and RS485 on 2 or 4 wire.
For a better accuracy, the internal clock can be synchronized by GPS.
28.10.2005 - Transponders tester
With the same design as the decoders, this new tester is equipped with a blue bill-poster LCD with retro-lighting and allows:
- to visualize the transponder's number and the state of its battery
- to memorize the assignment N° transponder and competitor N°
- to read using a PC, the assignment of the memorized numbers
- contrary, possibility of charging a list of numbers since the PC
This tester is powered with a lithium ion battery refillable in three hours.
There is a 50 hours' autonomy when it is used continuously and several months in "power down" mode.
28.10.2005 - Modems
To send information by radio with the distant decoders and scoreboards, Chronelec has chosen two brands of modems : ATIM and ICOM.
