First GPS tracking at Enduropale du Touquet

We carried out the first GPS tracking of the pilots of the Enduropale du Touquet 2020.
It was a technical challenge to be able to follow in live 25 motorcycles every second on such a large circuit (a circuit lap of 12.7 km and a width of 6 km).
The software also makes it possible to have the instantaneous speed of each pilot and the gap differences.
The installation of intermediate timing points requires additional equipment which is not necessary with our GPS tracking system.

New RF-I Transponder

The RF-I transponder is an evolution of the RF transponder and they are compatible.

Unlike the RF transponder, the RF-I transponder has an integrated antenna. It does not need a bracket to be attached to a fork.
Only one elastic joint is needed to attach it to a strap chip.
The case is extremely robust thanks to the plastic used.

RF-S transponders used at the European Athletics Championships

We are proud to announce that the RF-S transponders has been used at the 2018 European Athletics Championships in Berlin.
Matsport ensured the timing of all athletics races.
The RF-S transponder allows to give a accurate timing (less than 1/100th of a second) even during simultaneous arrivals.
Thanks to the RF timing system the results can be published instantly.

RFID transponders used at the Enduropale du Touquet

The FFM timed the Enduropale du Touquet 2017 with the RFID transponders.
Despite the large number of competitors (more than 2000 competitors on the weekend), and difficult conditions (sand and water), this system shows once again its reliability with a 100% detection of competitors.
The FFM has been using this same system for all sand races for 1 year with the same success.
The reduced cost and reliability of the system is especially recommended for mass races.
